Get Your Glow Back With a HydraFacial®

Woman Getting HydraFacialAn effective at-home skincare routine should include a cleanser, toner and moisturizer, along with an SPF 30 or higher sunscreen. But no matter how good your daily skincare routine is, these products don’t have the power to improve your skin’s youthful appearance like an in-office facial at Advanced Dermatology and Laser Institute of Seattle can.

Not every facial will work for your skin type, and extractions of dirt and debris can leave your skin red and inflamed after treatment. With a specialty HydraFacial, however, you can feel confident knowing your skin will glow after you visit our Seattle office for a painless, 30-minute treatment.

What is a HydraFacial?

A HydraFacial uses a patented tool that combines medical-grade hydradermabrasion with a three-step process that cleanses, exfoliates and infuses for a soothing, yet effective facial. During your treatment, our Master Esthetician will use the HydraFacial tool to suction dead skin and other impurities from your pores, replacing them with an essential mixture of water, antioxidants and hyaluronic acid.

This unique combination of extraction and simultaneous hydration makes the HydraFacial suitable for all complexions and skin types. Use it to treat:

  • Pores clogged by whiteheads, blackheads and acne
  • Fine lines, wrinkles and brown spots
  • Skin that’s lost elasticity and firmness
  • Uneven texture and skin tone
  • Pre-cancerous spots
  • Enlarged pores
  • Dry, flaky skin
  • Oily skin

Dr. Greene can also add super serums to your HydraFacial to better target your specific skincare needs. You can expect a more radiant appearance after one HydraFacial, with results lasting five to seven days or longer depending on your skin. We recommend continuing with one HydraFacial per month, especially if you’re using it to treat a targeted area of concern.

HydraFacial vs. Standard Facials

Traditional facials use dermabrasion or dermaplaning to remove the damaged upper layer of skin with a specialized blade. While this method can treat many of the skincare issues previously listed, it’s also a painful process that does indeed injure your skin. This makes it unsuitable for people with:

  • Sensitive skin
  • A skin, blood or immune disorder
  • A history of keloid or hypertrophic scarring
  • Skin infections

Unlike dermabrasion, the hydradermabrasion method used in a HydraFacial is:

  • Non-Invasive
  • Non-Surgical
  • Painless
  • Requires no downtime

Hydradermabrasion gently removes grit from your pores without the need for squeezing, pressing or painful blades. The three-step treatment uses calming ingredients, including willow bark extract and anti-inflammatory Tasmanian pepper, to reduce the risk of negative side effects.

Without this worry, you can couple other dermatology procedures with your HydraFacial. Our patients often schedule laser treatments and injectables during the same appointment, giving them more time to enjoy their results outside our office.
